Biography
Mary Mattschei passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at the age of 90. Mary was a native of Santa Barbara, on the Island of Terceira in the Azores, and a resident of Madera, CA for the past 20 years. She was a homemaker. Mary was an avid Bingo player at the Frank Bergon Center in Madera; she was a seamstress and enjoyed needle point also. Mary was a member of St. Joachim Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest and her son Robert. Mary is survived by her daughter Barbara Vulich and her husband Richard, her sister Amelia Downes of Visalia, her three grandchildren, Michele Casebier, Richard Vulich, Jr., and John Allen Vulich. She also leaves behind three great grandchildren, Kyle, Connor and Chloe Casebier.
Rosary/Vigil service will be held on: Friday, January 22, 2010, at 10:00 AM with a Funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM at Jay Chapel, Madera, CA
Service concludes at Jay Chapel.
