She moved to Arizona in 2004 from California where she and her husband Leroy had lived in Madera for 48 years. She was an accountant for Plaza Flower Shop for 20 years until her retirement. Dena was an inseparable part of Leroy's life, attending most church, school and sporting events. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.Dena is preceded in death by her husband Leroy in 1997, also her brother Roy Nelson and sister Barbara Arnold. She is survived by her three sons, Rex and his wife Charlene, Ronald and his wife Linda, and Donald and his wife Susan. She was the grandmother of 19, and great grandmother of 62. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2010 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Jay Chapel. A graveside service will be held Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Arbor Vitae Cemetery in Madera. |
