Biography

Mr. Rafael H. Herrera passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at the age of 100. Rafael was born in Mexico and a resident of Madera, CA for the past 65 years. He worked in Forestry Products as a Lumber Grader Supervisor , Rafael retired after 45 years. He was a member of St. Joachim Catholic Church.

Rafael is survived by his wife of 71 years Josephine Herrera, his two sons Fred Herrera and Carlos Herrera and one daughter Angie Cantu all of Madera, CA. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Jay Chapel, Madera, CA with a Vigil / Rosary to follow at 7:00 PM also at Jay Chapel.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 10, 2010, 11:00 AM at St. Joachim Catholic Church, Madera, CA

In lieu of flowers mass offerings may be said in Rafael's name at St. Joachim Catholic Church.
