There are so many special things to remember about Helen - she has left a legacy of 'sweets' behind that nobody from Madera can ever forget. Our fondest memory of Helen, tho, came after we moved from Madera. We missed our Madera friends SO much, and it seemed we saw them around every corner in Spokane Imagine our surprise one Sabbath to walk in to the Valley Church in Spokane, think we were seeing Francis and Helen, only to have them turn around and to see that it WAS them. What a warming of our hearts they brought! She will be so fondly remembered in so many ways! From Cliff, it will always be the licorice!!

Helen was truly loved by anyone who knew her. She shared her memories of my mother with me at the times when she knew I needed to hear them the most and Helen always reminded me of what wonderful children I have and that she was always praying for them. Another reason I cannot wait for Christ to return soon.

Frances, you and helen have been an encouragement to Beth & I for the short time we have been around you folks. Helen used to get a kick out of telling people about when she knew me as a little boy with red hair and freckles. "O so many years ago." May GOD give you the PEACE that passed all understanding. I remember growing up just down the street from Mrs. Wedel and I will always remember her as the "Cookie Lady". Whenever there was a special occasion, fundraiser, or potluck you could always count on her to deliver the most delicious goodies. She touched many lives and she will be truly missed! My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
