Biography
Beloved daughter, mother, grandmother and friend, Doris Marie Poletti Pryor, went to our Lord in peace, on February 17, 2010 after a short battle with cancer.
Born in Madera, California on October 27, 1927, to the parents of Anthony and Marie Poletti, Doris grew up in the community attending St. Joachim's Catholic School and Madera High school.
Doris will be dearly remembered for the kindness she shared with her family and friends and her community service for volunteering with various organizations.
She is survived by her children, Scott Pryor of Oregon, Rod Pryor and his wife Shirley of Clovis, and Melinda Pryor of Madera. She is the beloved grandmother of Stephanie Powell, Jocelyn Pryor and Kimberley Pryor. Also surviving Doris is her nephew Guy Blanchard and his wife Heather of Walnut Creek and Robert Pryor of Fresno, her former husband and father of her children.
A funeral service will be on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 11 1 PM in Jay Chapel in Madera with interment following in Calvary Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the American Cancer Society.
