Lopez Memorial Tribute VideoBiographyRichard R Lopez peacefully journeyed into heaven with loved ones by his side on Monday, February 22, 2010. Richard was born August 30, 1937 in Madera, California, and graduated from Madera High School in 1956. He was also a veteran of the United States Navy, his job was a Naval Air Jet Mechanic, and his rank was a Petty Officer 2nd class. Richard's position was a forklift operator at Containers Corporation of America. He then retired after thirty years of service.Richard married the love of his life Millie "Frisco" and spent forty-seven loving years together. Richard was a member of the Blind Veterans Association of Fresno and a member of St. Anthony Claret Catholic Church in Fresno and St. Joachim Catholic Church in Madera. He had many hobbies that included arts and crafts, fishing, traveling, and dancing that he enjoyed very much. Richard was preceded in death by his father Jesus "Jess" Lopez, his son Michael E. Lopez, grandson, Tony Soto and infant brother Raynaldo Lopez. He is survived by his wife Millie Lopez of Fresno, his mother Jessie A. Lopez of Madera, his son Rick Lopez and wife Rose of Las Vegas, NV, his daughters Valerie Brown and husband Harold of Las Vegas, NV, Laura Martinez and husband Thomas, Mona Gonzales and husband Alfredo, and Debra Enriquez all of residents of Fresno. She also leaves behind seventeen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren, his sisters Gloria Rodriguez and Vicky Lopez of Madera, his nieces, nephews, extended family members and all those that called him Grandpa.
