He was 59 years old. Dexter was born in the Philippines, and his family moved to Guam when he was nine months old. They eventually immigrated to the United States, settling in Lemoore, California where he graduated from High School in 1968. He graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science with a Minor in Mathematics. Dexter's successful career in the insurance industry spanned 37 years, including his position as a Vice President for the DiBudio and DeFendis Insurance Agency. Dexter took an early retirement due to his debilitating illness.He married his wife, Esther, in 1973. Installed with strong Catholic Christian values by his family, Dexter and Esther have been vibrant members of the Holy Spirit Parish participating as Eucharistic ministers and providing their services to the community. Dexter learned to play golf at an early age from his father which developed his passion and dedication to golf. Dexter enjoyed playing golf with his brothers, friends and grandchildren. He eventually became a regular at Fort Washington Golf and Country Club. Dexter was preceded in death by his parents Jose and Praxedes Aquino, and is survived by Esther, his wife of 37 years, and his children David and Katy. He is the brother of Tony Aquino and his wife, Edith; Virgie Ilagan and her husband, Melvyn Sr.; Magnolia Stish; Robert Aquino and his wife, Nora; George Aquino and his wife, Debbie; Julius Aquino and his wife, Pam; and Susan McMahon and her husband, Jim. Dexter is the beloved grandfather of Anthony, Joseph and Jillian Aquino. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 from 5 to 7 PM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, followed by recitation of the Rosary at 7PM. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 10 AM also in Holy Spirit Church. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, 264 North Blythe Avenue, Fresno.
