Funeral Service: Saturday, July 24, 2010 11:00 AM Goldern Valley Baptist Church, Madera, CA Interment: Ceres Memorial Park, Ceres, CA BiographyNorman Woodville Thornton, 70 a native of Ceres, CA and a resident of Madera for 21 years went to be with Lord Tuesday, July 20, 2010 after a brief battle with his health. He was an active member of the Golden Valley Baptist Church in Madera. Norm was a welder in tank manufacturing working 45 years for C.B.I. AND P.D.M. He enjoyed traveling and was a member of the Moose Lodge of Pismo Beach, CA.Norman was preceded in death by his Father Woody Thornton and his Son Jeff Thornton. He is survived by his Wife Connie Thornton of Madera, his Mother, and Trecia Thornton of Ceres, CA, and Children: Rebecca Stenson of Waterford, CA, David Fontenot of Mc Kinney, TX, Brandi Rose of Fresno, CA and Roy Fontenot of Baker City, Ore. A Brother Greg Thornton of San Francisco, CA and his Sister Yvonne Wilson of Modesto, CA, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Memorial Service will be held on Sat. July 24, 2010 at 11:00 am at Golden Valley Baptist Church, 12414 Road 37, and Madera, CA 93636, Jay Chapel, in charge of arrangements.
