Biography
Geraldine A. "Jerry" Woods, age 77, a native of King City, California passed away in Madera, California on Sunday, July 25, 2010.
Geraldine was born to Clarence Eblen and Alice Hedrick, both natives of Missouri. A homemaker, "Jerry" has been a resident of Madera, California for 44 years. She was a resident of the Meadows residential community in Madera for many years. Geraldine loved to travel but she enjoyed her role as a mother and grandmother.
"Jerry" was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Bobby Woods on June 6, 2001. She is survived by her children, Joe Rose and his wife Sue of Porterville, Ca, Ric Woods of Madera, Ca, Candis Woods and her husband Kent of Willows, Ca, and Barbara Whitted and her husband Larry of Madera. She is the sister-in-law of Mary Mason of Fairbanks, Alaska, and the beloved grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 12 great grand children. Also surviving "Jerry" are numerous nephews and nieces.
Private family services will be held with Entombment in the Arbor Vitae Mausoleum on the grounds of Arbor Vitae Cemetery in Madera, California, located at 1301 Roberts Avenue.
"Jerry's" family has suggested remembrances in her memory be sent to the Country Villa Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center, 517 South "A" Street, in Madera, California, 93638-3806.
