Biography

Pedro Cervantes passed away peacefully on January 14, 2012 at the age of 68 after a long illness.
Pedro graduated from Madera High School and attended Fresno City College. From 1963 to 1966 Pedro served his country in the United States Air Force where he was in Vietnam. He spent many years as commander for the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8900.

Pedro was preceded in death by his daughter Andrea Cervantes in 1998. He is survived by his daughter, Sylvia Cervantes-Avalos, his son David Cervantes, his grandchildren, Jade Riley, Brittany Rodriguez, Tiffany Rodriguez Gonzalez, Rushell Rodriguez, Jordan Strickland and Joel David Avalos. He also leaves behind eight great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on: Wednesday, January 18, 2012 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM with a Recitation of the Rosary to follow at 6:00 PM at Jay Chapel, Madera, CA

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on: Thursday, January 19, 2012, 1:00 pm at St. Joachim Catholic Church, Madera, CA

Interment to follow at: Calvary Cemetery, Madera, CA
