Biography
Barbara Ann Wilson was born July 27, 1940 in Louisiana to the late Jesse Fuller and Georgia Fuller in Grand Cane, LA. She was the oldest of 11 siblings. Her parents moved to Madera when she was 3 years old, and at the age of 12, she accepted Christ and baptized and was baptized at the Second Missionary Baptist Church. She graduated from Madera High School in 1959. In 1960 Calvin and Barbara were married in Wichita Falls, Texas and returned to Madera to reside. To this union, three daughters were born, Ravonya Wilson-Jackson, Natalie Wilson and Nancy Wilson.
Barbara loved the Lord and put him first in her life. Her ministry was a blessing to many people, as a missionary. She had great compassion, empathy and cared for others. In 1989, Barbara was the Assistant Chaplain, at the Madera County Jail, many of the inmates accepted Christ through her ministry. She was employed at the Madera Glass Company and Georgia Pacific for many years. There after she and Calvin opened the Family Wilson's Care Facility a care facility for the elderly where she worked until her retirement.
Barbara succumbed to her illness on January 16, 2012; she is preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Wilson in November, 2009, her father Jesse Fuller and her brother Benjamin Fuller.
Barbara is survived by her mother Georgia Fuller, her daughters, Ravonya Wilson-Jackson, Natalie Wilson and Nancy Wilson, her granddaughter, Pashyon Jackson, grandsons Darryl Jackson, Jr. and Kaynan Mays, her great grandson Anthony McGee. She also leaves behind three sisters, five brothers, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
