Biography
Connie Maria Abundis Gomez passed away on Sunday, January, 22, 2012 at the age of 67. She was born in Madera to Baudelio and Magdalena Abundis. Connie was a graduate of Madera High School class of 1963. She was a member of St. Joachim Catholic Church. Connie moved to Fremont, CA where she has lived for the past 43 years. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and collecting photos of relatives. Connie always celebrated birthdays and holidays. She loved sending holiday cards. Connie was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fremont.
Connie was preceded in death by her husband Julio C. Gomez in July of 1974 and her brothers, John Abundis, Mike Abundis and Delio "Frankie" Abundis, Daniel Abundis and her sister, Margaret Rios.
She is survived by her son, Julio M. Gomez of Fremont, her daughter, Lisa M. Escobar of Las Vegas, her brother, Henry Abundis of Vacaville, her sisters, Annie Delgado of Madera, Esther Abundis also of Madera, Beatrice Verduzco of Santa Maria, Marylou Gomez of San Jose. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Linda M Escobar, Jamie Escobar and Elena Escobar.
Visitation will be held on: Monday, January 30, 2012 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Jay Chapel, Madera, CA with a Recitation of the Rosary to follow at 10:00 am.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on: Monday, January 30, 2012, 11:00 am at St. Joachim Catholic Church, Madera, CA
Interment: Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
