I first met Sally in 1999 when I became involved with her husband John Ferdinandi and his noble cause of moving the BNSF tracks out of the middle of Fresno. Sally was such a help to us during those trying times that we battled through. We lost John on Super Bowl Sunday in 2003 after a courageous battle against liver cancer. None-the less, that didn't stop Sally, she still continued to be involved with our organization (Fresno Area Residents for Rail Consolidation)even though it was emotionally stressful for her to do ue to the constant reminders of her beautiful 50 year marriage to John. Sally was always present at our monthly meetings and get together’s until her failing health simply would not allow her to attend. John has been anxiously awaiting Sally’s arrival for nine years now and so I take solace in knowing that their five wonderful children’s grief is somewhat comforted knowing that John and Sally are together once again. To Sallys' children: I feel very blessed to have gotten to know your mother as well as all of you. I will miss her dry humor and the way she truly seemed to want to know how I was doing, as well as my family. She will be missed but we all know she is in a wonderful place in the arms of her beloved husband and your dad John. Love Barb Rose
