Ida Mae McGee

Ida Mae Rebecca McGee was born in Tulia, TX on March 17, 1928 to James and Elizabeth Hickman. She peacefully passed away at home into the Lord's hands on Sunday, July 19, 2009 at the age of 81 after a brief illness. Ida was a graduate of Gardena High school in 1946. She was fondly remembered as the much loved cook at St. Joachim's School before retiring. Ida Mae was a member of St. Joachim Catholic Church for 30 years; she taught catechism and was a part of the prayer hotline.

She is survived by her children, David Jones, Rebecca Jones, Susan Jones, Mary Carrizalez and her husband Jorge, and Betty Carol. Ida Mae also leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

The family is grateful for the caring services of St. Agnes Hospice.

Vigil service will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2009, 7:00 PM. at Jay Chapel, Madera, CA.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 22, 2009, 4:00 PM at St. Joachim Catholic Church, Madera, CA
