Obituary of Steve Hunter
Steve A. Hunter, age 66, a native and lifelong resident of Madera, CA passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at his Madera home. He was employed at Baltimore Air Coil where he worked as a Mech 1 for 22 years. Steve was a graduate of Madera High School Class of 1968 and a veteran in the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam. He was also a master craftsman in woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Nixie (Ledbetter) Hunter; 2 sisters, Bessie and Vivian and brother, George.
Steve is survived by his wife of 30 years, Jo Hunter of Madera, CA. His children: Lori Hull and her husband Donald of Mariposa, CA and Craig William Crossland of Nashville, MI. He was the brother to Terry Hunter of Placerville, CA and Clara Shilling of Keller, TX. He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Jay Chapel in Madera. Funeral Services will be Thursday, January 5, 2016 at 11:00 am at Jay Chapel in Madera. Interment will follow at Arbor Vitae Cemetery in Madera.
