Obituary of Dominic Ybarro
Dominic Christopher Ybarro, of West Hollywood, began his personal spiritual journey on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at 7:30 A.M. Dominic loved theater arts and made the world his stage.
At the age of sixteen, Dominic began stage acting, and was a cast member of Rodger and Hammerstein’s musical Oklahoma, which was produced in the summer of 1974 at the Los Gatos Old Town Theater, in Los Gatos California.
In his twenties, Dominic fast tracked into the male modeling world and resided in the currently trendy section of New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen. While in New York, his modeling work proved successful and was published in various popular magazine publications which included Vogue, Glamour, Harper’s Bazaar, and Penthouse. During his time spent in Manhattan, Dominic took the opportunity to expand his world through travel to North Africa, France, Spain, and many other European countries.
In 1983, Dominic returned to California to be closer to his family, and continued to follow the theatrical and entertainment industry from his residence in West Hollywood. He sought spiritual empowerment, and frequented the services at the Beverly Hills Episcopal Church. Dominic was also a member of the Screen Actors Guild, and accepted offers to work on various film and cinema projects. Dominic loved West Hollywood, living healthy (always juicing and eating his veggies), yoga, walks, writing, and keeping the people he loved very close to him.
Dominic Christopher is survived by his parents Edward and Josie Ybarro, his siblings Laura Ybarro (brother- in-law, Randal Kerby), Patrick Ybarro (sister-in-law, Ann Ybarro), Danielle Ybarro Ledsam (brother-in-law, Ben Ledsam), nieces and nephews Austin and Paul Kerby, Justin and Julia Ludwig, Daniel, Ethan, David and Josie Olivia Ybarro, and, Victoria and John Ledsam.
