Roosevelt Hoover Jr. was born to Roosevelt Hoover Sr. and his loving mother Shirley Williams
on February 24th, 1938. Roosevelt, or as many knew him “Rosie” passed peacefully in his
home held by his beloved wife of 43 years, June Hoover.

Roosevelt born in Monroe, Louisiana was raised mainly in Santa Barbara, California where he
graduated from Santa Barbara High School in 1957.

Roosevelt later moved to San Jose, California where he began his career with Versatec as an
inspector, which he was committed to for 20 years.

Throughout his life, he pursued music in his free time, being self-taught he was in many bands
throughout the years.

As a young man, Roosevelt had 4 sons; Roosevelt Hoover III, John Quincy, Andrew Angelo,
Michael Jerome, and later raised Cathy Hoover Fountain. Roosevelt had the pleasure of
becoming a grandfather to 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

His passions in life were playing music, riding horses, and coloring.

June and Rosie found their dream home in 2014 in Madera, California where he became a
proud published author of his novel “Outlaws and Lawmen” and was working on a second book
before his unfortunate passing.

Roosevelt’s celebration of life will be held in his home, surrounded by friends and family, on May
4th, 2024at high noon.
